Using it

Will it keep me warm if it's below freezing?
Yes, because it works by conduction rather than by warming the air around you. A cold bench pulls heat out of your body faster than cold air does, so stopping that loss and adding heat back at the contact point is the most direct thing you can do while sitting still.

Dress for the conditions as you normally would. Heated seating solves the half of you that the fire, the coat and the blanket all struggle to reach.
What is Ghost Mode?
A switch on the side of the touch button that turns the LED lights off while the heat stays exactly where you set it.

It was built for hunting blinds, where a glowing button gives you away, but it's just as useful in a dark stadium or anywhere you'd rather not have a light on your chair.
Does it heat the whole chair or just one spot?
It heats the two places your body actually touches: the backrest and the seat.

That's deliberate. Heat moves into you far faster through direct contact than through air, so panels at the contact points do more than a warm cushion of air ever would. The camping chair uses two zones, the MAXX cover uses six woven elements, and the bleacher seat uses two extra-large carbon fibre panels.
What do the LED lights mean?
The colour tells you the heat setting: red is high, white is medium, blue is low.

The number of lit LEDs tells you how much battery is left — four is full, three is 75%, two is 50%, one is 25%. So a single glance gives you both the temperature and how long you have.
How hot does a Chaheati heated chair get?
There are three settings across the range: roughly 120°F on low, 140°F on medium, and up to 150°F on high.

The exact top temperature depends on the product. The Heated Folding Bleacher Seat is the hottest in the line at 150°F, while the 7V Battery Heated Camping Chair reaches about 125°F on high. It is warm against your back and seat, not hot to the touch.
How do you turn on a Chaheati heated chair?
Charge the battery, drop it into the zippered pocket and connect it to the plug inside. Then press and hold the touch button for about three seconds until the LEDs come on.

From there, tap once for low, twice for medium, three times for high. The LED colour tells you where you are: blue for low, white for medium, red for high. The sequence is the same on every product in the line, so you only learn it once.

Choosing

Can I add heat to a camping chair I already own?
Yes. The Chaheati MAXX Add-On Heated Chair Cover straps onto a standard folding chair and turns it into a heated one.

It runs on an 11.1V battery with six heat elements and reaches 130°F+, which makes it the warmest option in the range. It weighs about 1.6 lbs and goes on in seconds, so it also travels well if you would rather not carry a second chair.
Which heated chair should I buy for football games?
It depends on whether you bring your own seat or sit on what is already there.

For bleachers, choose the 7V Heated Folding Bleacher Seat. It has no legs, hooks onto a bench, reclines through six positions and runs the hottest at 150°F.

For tailgating or sideline seating where you bring a chair, choose the 7V Battery Heated Camping Chair. It stands on its own, has two cup holders and folds into a carry bag.

If you already own a chair you like, the MAXX Add-On Cover converts it instead.
What's the difference between a heated seat cushion and a heated seat pad?
Padding, mostly.

The seat cushion is a self-contained block with 2.5 inches of foam, so it adds real comfort on a hard bench as well as heat. The seat pad is thin and 25 inches long, shaped to drape over whatever you're already sitting on, and it folds flat and machine washes.

Pick the cushion for bleachers where sitting on aluminium is the problem. Pick the pad if you move it between a chair, a bench and a truck seat.

Batteries

Can I take a heated chair or battery on a plane?
The chair, cushion or pad can go in checked baggage. The battery cannot.

Airlines require lithium-polymer packs to travel in your carry-on, not the hold. The 7V 5000mAh pack is 37Wh, well under the 100Wh limit most carriers set, so it is normally fine in the cabin — but check your airline's current rules before you fly, since they vary and they change.
Can I buy a replacement battery separately?
Yes, and this is deliberate. Batteries and chargers are sold on their own so an aged pack never means replacing the whole chair.

Match the voltage to your product: the 7V 5000mAh kit for the camping chair, seat cushion and seat pad, and the MAXX 11.1V pack for the add-on chair cover. Wall and car chargers are available for both.
How long does the battery take to charge?
Four to six hours for a full charge from empty with the wall charger included in the box.

Charge it the night before rather than the morning of. If you're heading somewhere long, the MAXX 11.1V pack can also be topped up from a 12V vehicle outlet with the car charger.
How should I store the battery over the off-season?
Keep at least 25% charge on the pack when it isn't in use, and store it indoors rather than in a freezing garage or a hot car.

Disconnect the battery from the product before putting it away. Storing a lithium-polymer pack fully flat for months is the single fastest way to shorten its life.
How long does a heated camping chair battery last?
On the low setting a fully charged 7V battery runs about 8 hours. Medium is roughly 4.5 hours and high about 2.5 hours.

Runtime is driven by which setting you use, not by how cold it is outside. One charge covers a full game on low, or a couple of hours if you run it hot the whole time. Most people start on high to warm up, then drop to low and stay there.
Are the batteries replaceable?
Yes. Every Chaheati product uses a removable battery pack rather than a sealed one, so a dead or aged battery never means a dead chair. You swap the pack and keep the chair.

The cells are third-party tested lithium-polymer. Store the battery indoors over the off-season rather than leaving it in a cold garage or a hot car.
Do Chaheati batteries work across different products?
Within a voltage, yes. The 7V 5000mAh pack runs the heated seat cushion and the portable seat pad, so a spare battery doubles as backup for both.

The MAXX Add-On Chair Cover is the exception. It runs on its own 11.1V pack, which delivers more heat across six elements but is not interchangeable with the 7V products.

Check the voltage on your product before ordering a replacement.

Care

Can I wash the chair itself?
The 7V Portable Heated Seat Pad is machine washable. The chairs, the cushion and the MAXX cover are not — spot clean those with a damp cloth and mild soap, then let them dry fully.

Whatever you're cleaning, remove the battery first and never put a pack anywhere near water.
Are heated chairs safe to sit on?
Yes. The heating elements are sealed inside a thermal barrier and run at temperatures designed for sustained skin contact through clothing — 150°F at the very top setting, and most people settle on low at around 120°F.

Every battery is third-party tested. As with any lithium-powered product, don't use a pack that is swollen, punctured or damaged, and don't leave the product running unattended.
Can you use a heated chair in the rain or snow?
The outer shells are water-resistant and the battery sits in a zippered pocket, so light rain, wet grass and snow on the seat are fine.

Water-resistant is not waterproof. Don't submerge any part of it, don't leave it out in a downpour overnight, and dry the fabric before packing it away so the pocket doesn't stay damp around the battery.
Can you wash a heated seat pad?
The 7V Portable Heated Seat Pad is machine washable. Remove the battery first, disconnect it from the plug inside the pocket, and let the pad dry fully before reconnecting.

Never put a battery pack in water, and never wash a product with the battery still attached.

Orders

My item arrived damaged. What now?
Contact us within three days of delivery on 888-406-1984 and we'll sort it out.

Keep the packaging until it's resolved — shipping claims usually need it. If a fault turns out to be covered by a manufacturer's warranty rather than shipping damage, we'll tell you which route gets it fixed fastest.
How do exchanges work?
Two ways. The fast one is an express exchange: place a new order online or call 888-406-1984, we send the replacement straight away, and you return the unwanted item for a refund.

The standard route is to send the item back first. Once it arrives, allow 5–7 business days for the exchange to process — 7–14 days during the holiday season.
What is your return policy?
Thirty days from the day your order arrives, for a refund or an exchange. Orders placed between 15 November and 24 December get an extended window through 31 January.

Items need to come back in sell-able condition with their original packaging, parts and tags. Returns go to Chaheati, Attn: Returns, 3791 Main St, Philadelphia, PA 19127. Refunds are issued to the original card or PayPal account, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

No questions match that. Try a different word, or email support@chaheati.com.
