The Chaheati as a Therapeutic Device

So you’ve finished using your Chaheati after a week-long camping trip or a tailgate event. What do you typically do with it afterwards? Like most people who own camp chairs, your Chaheati heated camp chair likely rolls around in the trunk of your car or sits in the corner of your garage or basement. Well, what else are you going to do with it? Consider this: you could be using your Chaheati in the home as a therapeutic device.
“Use my heated camp chair as a therapeutic device?” you’re probably saying. No, we haven’t lost it completely. Heat therapy has been used for centuries as a way to heal what ails us. It’s only recently though that medical professionals have fully understood what happens when we apply heat to stiff and achy muscles and joints.

Heat therapy can be used to lessen the pain associated with arthritis, for example. Heat has the tendency to increase blood flow to the heated part of the body. This increased blood flow applies not only to the joints but also to the muscles and skin. For those suffering from arthritis, this loosens up the joints and tends to reduce the pain levels associated with it. If you have ever had a grandparent complain about achy joints in cold weather, it may be easier to imagine how the Chaheati heated camp chair could be used as a therapeutic device.

But heat therapy isn’t reserved for only those with arthritis. Any active person who uses their muscles to lift, grab, run, or climb could benefit from heat therapy. Many athletes will use heat before a workout or event to increase blood flow and loosen up tight muscles. You can utilize this same therapeutic premise before your own workouts or physical activities with your Chaheati.

Finally, some folks who suffer from migraine headaches have figured out that heat can reduce the symptoms. Sometimes tight muscles in the upper back and neck (often brought on or amplified by stress) are the culprit for migraines. Many folks have been able to apply heat to these areas to loosen the muscles and lessen the strain. As the Chaheati features a fully heated back and bottom, which can easily be applied to many parts of the body. (Though, a heating pad may be needed for the neck.)

So know that your Chaheati is more than just a camp chair that keeps you warm. It’s also possible to look to its potential therapeutic heating ability as a reason to use it inside the home as well as outdoors. Happy heating!

Enjoying the Great Outdoors with Chaheati

Here in Illinois there are a heap of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, and we’re thankful for that. We can fish Lake Michigan, hunt ducks along the Mississippi River, rock climb in southern Illinois, or camp in hundreds of places in the state. With such a wealth of things to do outdoors year round, it’s no surprise that people bring along the best gear. When we go, there’s always one item we always have to bring with us: a Chaheati heated chair.

Now we don’t want to mock the importance of other outdoor items like water containers, hiking boots, and a good pocket knife. They all have an important place in the outdoorsman’s gear collection. But we regard our Chaheati as the Swiss Army knife of camp chairs: we wouldn’t leave home without it.

So how does Chaheati make the great outdoors even greater? First, the rugged design of this chair will keep you out there longer than many other chair. We put a lot of thought into our design, drawing on the work of other extreme sports equipment manufacturers. We wanted to make sure that the materials we used would guarantee a lifetime of comfort outdoors.

The metal tubing used in the chair is designed to be weight-tolerant, allowing for bodies of any size to comfortably use the Chaheati. Next, our heating design ensures that when you need warmth from your chair, you’ll get it quickly and efficiently. Simply plug in the battery and select from four convenient temperature settings. We also know that a camping chair is frequently used around water and fire. That’s why we chose a fire and water-resistant fabric for the Chaheati to ensure safety and comfort no matter the season.

As for the battery, it keeps you warm in your Chaheati for up to six hours. It’s easy to recharge your battery pack afterwards, and it can even be charged from a vehicle’s cigarette lighter. For extra mileage, outdoor fans can have a second battery pack waiting in the wings.

So if you’re considering going ice fishing in winter or camping in the summer, Chaheati makes the perfect all-season camping chair. Its rugged yet comfortable design will have you sitting in it again and again, no matter if it’s in the mountains or your own back yard. We certainly do!

Sitting Outside the Box with Chaheati

As amazing and practical as the Chaheati heated camp chair is (ok, so we’re a little biased), it makes perfect sense for cold-weather activities. Ice fishing, hunting, tailgating, and camping are all activities that are fitting for a heated camp chair. Even those who travel with RVs could benefit! But we thought it was time to sit outside the box a bit and brainstorm other uses of the Chaheati.

Now to be fair, when we first began development of the chair, we made a strong effort to consider all potential uses. We firmly believe that quality and durability are equally important to comfort. For anyone who’s recently uttered “they sure don’t make things like they used to,” you understand our belief. We knew that some people would be putting this chair through a lot, so we considered some of the more extreme uses for the Chaheati. But what about more non-extreme events a Chaheati would be welcome at? Here are some of our ideas, good for any time of year:

• Flea markets and swap meets: If you run a station at one of these events, you’re likely to be sitting as much as standing. The comfortable Chaheati heated camp chair makes the perfect portable chair while you’re there. If the temperature gets a little too chilly, just plug in the battery for a much warmer seat.
• Auto shows: People love to show off their autos all year round. For those who are camped out for the event, the Chaheati makes a great companion. Talk about the horsepower and drivetrain of your vehicle with passing fans, all from the comfort of your chair. And when you’re done, its collapsible form means you can pack it away in seconds.
• Job fairs: So you’re looking for some talent to add to your company? Too bad you often have to sit around for hours on end for some of the longer fairs. Why not do it in style with the Chaheati? It’s comfortable, and you can heat it up in seconds when the temperature turns chilly.
• Marching competitions: If you’ve ever been to one of these events, you know that there’s frequently a lot of sitting around and waiting. You also know that they are often held in fall and winter. It’s the perfect time to break out the Chaheati!
• Music, theater, and renaissance festivals: These festivals are a given for some quality lounging. Whether you’re chilling to the tunes of a great band, watching Shakespeare, or eating a fat turkey leg, the Chaheati should be along for the ride.
• Rallies: Sure, there are a lot of people standing, waving banners, and cheering. But perhaps you’d rather sit and wave your banner or sign with other folks. Might as well do it comfortably from your Chaheati heated camp chair.

Those are only a few outside-the-box ideas for places to take your Chaheati. What are some other locations/events that would be great for your Chaheati heated camp chair?

The Tech Behind the Chaheati

We’ve received a few questions about the technology we’ve used in the Chaheati heated chair and the rechargeable battery pack. While a lot of the tech behind it is patent-pending, we wanted to address the questions as best we could without giving away too much information or making it overly technical.

When we went through the long process of designing the Chaheati, much of our inspiration was drawn from the companies manufacturing some of the best high-end extreme sports equipment. We chose these types of companies for inspiration because of our vision of creating a comfortable yet durable all-season heated camp chair. Those same manufacturers know that weather extremes put outdoor gear to the test just as much as a user’s wear and tear on it. Cold and heat cause expansion and contraction of materials, while water and fire can corrode or damage in different ways. Not only do the structural components of a chair need to stand up to these weather elements; electronics do as well.

The tubing used for the chair structure is 19-gauge, which is preferred for more rigorous outdoor use. The fabric we decided to use is meant to protect the ultra-thin heating elements embedded in it from adverse conditions and to also stand up to physical abuse. The “600D” we reference in the features of the Chaheati fabric is simply a measure of the durability of the fabric. A 600D polyester fabric is tougher than a 420D fabric. This fabric — combined with the 19-guage tubing — can hold some serious weight! We’ve rated the chair to safely seat up to 280 pounds.

The battery and heating element represent the other side of the Chaheati’s tech. When thinking about ways to heat the chair, we didn’t want a bulky heating coil or some other obtrusive design. Comfort was just as much a priority as functionality during its design. We decided to go with a unique ultra-thin carbon fiber (non-wire) based heating system. The fabric is strong but flexible to accommodate the wide variety of body types it encounters, and is of low-voltage design to maximize their longevity.

The rechargeable lithium-ion battery we chose had to provide long-term heat and to have a rapid recharge rate. With a constant stream of research and investment into lithium-ion technology, it made perfect sense to adopt it for Chaheati. We also wanted it to be extremely safe so we incorporated a digital circuit breaker into the battery unit. The battery is integrated into the small hand-held temperature controller, which features four convenient temperature settings.

All of this tech combines to make the Chaheati heated camp chair what it is: a durable, all-season camp chair made to withstand a variety of climates and conditions. It keeps you warm on those cold outdoor evenings and comfortable all year round. We’re proud of the design, and we hope you will be too.

Finding the Right Tailgating Supplies

We’ve been doing a fair share of tailgating lately, talking football and spreading the word about the Chaheati heated camp chair. As we’ve moved from one event to the next, we’ve noticed that some people take their tailgating seriously. We’ve seen everything from Rams-branded barbecue utensils to beer belts that hold six cans. “Wow!” we think. “Where do people find this stuff?” There’s obviously a market for tailgating accessories, so we started looking around at who’s supplying.

Our first stop is TailgatingFanatic.com, a company based in Georgia. The folks at Tailgating Fanatic have been working tirelessly to bring the best tailgating experience to folks for years, understanding that tailgating is a lifestyle for many people. The company even encourages its customers to send in photos of their tailgating events to both gain a better understanding of what tailgaters use and to “maintain a personable relationship” with their customers.

Their site is relatively easy to use, though how the shopping cart functions seems a bit strange. When you add an item to your cart, a PayPal page is automatically opened. You do have the option to choose to continue shopping, which automatically closes the window. There’s also an issue with their FAQ not loading properly on the site. However, the selection is rather impressive as it’s not limited to only branded items. For example, a search for St. Louis Cardinals gear yields the predictable branded glasses and banners. But that same search also yields a wide variety of portable grills, lights, and collapsible tables — all things that are quite useful at a tailgate event.

FansEdge.com is another popular destination for folks looking for licensed sports products. These folks have been around for over ten years, with stores in many parts of the U.S. The company appears to have a strong focus on service at its core, providing a wide variety of goods for sports fans. They have a “Tailgating, Outdoors & Automotive” section for numerous professional sports, including non-team sports like golf, boxing, and tennis. A search of St. Louis Blues tailgating gear included flags, banners, koozies, and mats. We were slightly disappointed that they didn’t have as impressive a selection as Tailgating Fanatic, but FansEdge still offers a lot of options.

Finally, we can’t forget about another great tailgating item: the Chaheati heated camp chair. The fall and winter sports of football, hockey, and soccer all bring tailgaters outdoors despite cold temperatures. Wouldn’t it be nice to celebrate your team from the comfort of a heated chair? Our comfortable and durable Chaheati chair is easy to operate: simply plug in the slim battery pack and select a temperature. Within 20 seconds you’ll have a warm chair to kick back and talk sports in. Take a look at the features of our chair and discover how it makes the perfect tailgating accessory!

Chaheati: The Gift That Keeps on Giving

Ahh, the holidays are upon us again. If you’re like us, buying just the right holiday gifts for the people close to you gets more difficult each year. Do you go with the red tie or the blue tie for grandpa? Oh, that’s right: he doesn’t wear ties anymore. You brother probably threw away that robot-shaped fruitcake you bought him last year, and your mother is still trying to figure out that Swiss Army spatula set you gave her.

And then it dawns on us that the perfect gift is one that is 1. useable year after year, all year round, 2. built to last, and 3. easy to use. (No, a rock doesn’t count.) That’s where the Chaheati heated camp chair comes in! It easily fits this set of criteria and then some.

The Chaheati has hundreds of uses. Take it with you on your float tip. Stick it in your hunting blind. Set a few up at your next tailgate party. Sit in comfort at your child’s soccer match. The Chaheati heated camp chair is useable all year long, regardless of the weather. Plug in the rechargeable battery for up to six hours of heated comfort when it’s cold. For those warm days, simply leave the battery unplugged from the chair. And don’t worry about getting water on the chair: the fabric and tubing is designed to resist water intrusion.

And of course the Chaheati is built to last. When we designed it, we thought of as many possible uses the chair would have. We then decided that taking cues from other extreme outdoor sports companies was in order. The structure of the chair is meant to be weight-tolerant, supporting most any body type. The fabric is water-resistant and durable to protect the ultra-thin heating elements woven into it.

Chaheati is also easy to use. Like many other camp chairs, it quickly unfolds and collapses with very little effort. There isn’t a complex heating setup that you have to learn about either. Just plug in the battery pack and choose from one of the four convenient heat settings. In less than 20 seconds your chair will be heated and ready for action.

Usability, durability, and ease of use all make the Chaheati heated camp chair a fantastic gift for most any outdoor enthusiast. We’re sure that they’ll fall in love with this camp chair. Chaheati will be the gift that keeps on giving, year after year.
